Business travel in Brisbane CBD: what the itinerary actually needs

A business trip succeeds or fails on logistics nobody glamourises: where breakfast is fast, whether the wifi holds a video call, how far the walk to the client's office really is, and whether you can work at 10 pm without haunting a lobby sofa.
Having hosted a few thousand corporate stays at this address, here is what the itinerary actually needs in Brisbane City.
The non-negotiables
A desk in the room that is not a vanity table, wifi that sustains a two-hour video call (ours does, tested daily, that is why the club rooms exist), breakfast that starts at 6.30 not 7, and a gym that opens before the first meeting. The club lounge covers the overflow: quiet tables, printing, coffee that is not from a pod.

Corporate guests do not want luxury. They want friction removed: the right plug, the right light, the quiet floor, the invoice itemised correctly.
The walkable meeting map
William Street sits inside the government and corporate spine: Treasury, the law courts and the Queen Street offices are under ten minutes on foot. Eagle Street's tower offices are fifteen. Anything in the CBD core is walkable, which removes the daily taxi lottery; only the airport and the suburbs need cars.
What the corporate booking includes
- Quiet-floor rooms on request, floors 18–19
- Itemised invoices split by room, food and incidentals
- Boardroom hire from $980/day when the hotel room is too small
- 6 am gym and 6.30 breakfast for early meetings
- Late checkout to 2 pm for afternoon flights

Where the evenings go
Client dinners go to the steakhouse (quiet corners, serious wine list) or a private dining room if the table is eight-plus. Solo evenings go to the club lounge or the floor downstairs, depending on the traveller. The best business trips at this hotel end with the work done by six and the city walked by eight.
Send the desk your meeting map and we will flag anything ambitious. Brisbane City is compact until it is not; the suburbs are a different article.
Yes. The network is business-grade and tested daily; the club floors get priority bandwidth. Two-hour calls are routine, not optimistic.
Standard practice at our desk. Room, food and incidentals itemise separately, and monthly accounts exist for regulars.
The people who answer the desk phone also write the journal. Between them, three decades of walking guests around Brisbane City.
