Cookie policy
The cookies this site uses, what each does, and how to control them. We keep the list short: no advertising trackers, no cross-site profiling.
The short version
- Essential cookies keep the site working: consent choices, form sessions
- Analytics cookies count visits anonymously; they are off until you accept
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies run on this site
- The banner's accept and decline are both honoured, not nudged
- Browser settings can remove cookies at any time
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. They range from essential (the site breaks without them) to optional (the site works fine but we learn less). This site uses both kinds and asks before the optional ones load.
2. Essential cookies
The consent banner stores your accept/decline choice for twelve months so we do not ask on every page. Form submissions use a session token to prevent double-submits. These cookies are required for the site to function and are not optional.
3. Analytics cookies
With your consent, we run privacy-respecting analytics that count page views, referrers and approximate geography. The data is aggregate: we see that a page was read, not who read it. Analytics cookies are declined by default and only load after you accept.
4. What we do not use
No advertising pixels, no social media trackers, no cross-site identifiers. Embedded fonts and icon libraries load from public CDNs, which may log a standard server request but set no tracking cookies of their own through our pages.
5. Managing cookies
The banner reappears if you clear site data, or ask the desk to reset your choice. Every major browser offers cookie controls in settings; blocking essential cookies will break forms and the consent banner itself.
6. Contact
Questions about this policy go to [email protected]. If we ever add optional cookies beyond analytics, the banner and this page update before they load.
Common questions
No. Nothing on this site follows you elsewhere. The analytics are self-contained counts of visits to our own pages.
The site works identically. Analytics simply do not load. The only cookie that persists is the one recording your decline.
Questions about this policy?
The desk answers policy questions the same way it answers bookings: a person, a reply, a few hours.
